Looking back on 2019, there are so many achievements that we want to celebrate. In this roundup, we’re taking a look at the many ways in which Symmetry Financial Group agents and corporate staff have upheld a few of our core values this year.
Our first core value is: “Relationships matter, people come first.” Symmetry was established with the goal of bringing balance to the professional and personal lives of independent insurance agents, and in doing so, we set out to improve the lives of agents and clients alike. This year, our agents have helped more than 300,000 American families find the policy that’s right for them.
Another core value is the “Relentless pursuit of personal growth.” In 2019, Symmetry agents from across the nation gathered at our national conference to discuss building businesses, demonstrating effective leadership skills and building upon personal capabilities. As we continue to develop Thrive and Connect, two Symmetry initiatives designed to empower and inspire people to live in alignment with their highest possible selves, we can’t wait to see how our agents grow next!
Symmetry Financial Group is committed to “being of service and doing good in the world.” On our National Impact day, over 400 volunteers in 18 cities provided strength and stability through homeownership by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. Locally, our corporate staff teamed up with PubCorps and packed 100,000 meals to help relieve food insecurity.
2019 was a year of transformative growth for Symmetry – as well as a year full of contests, events and adventures. Our final core value, “we have fun and get stuff done,” is what the Symmetry difference is all about. We celebrated our hard work at the annual Symmetry Challenge, coming together for a 5k and dodgeball tournament, which culminated with a total donation of $200k for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
In total this year, Symmetry was able to partner with more than 30 not-for-profits and organizations in Western North Carolina and beyond. These organizations included local partners like Bounty and Soul, regional partners like the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western North Carolina, and the New York-based non-profit organization Charity: Water.
We are proud to announce that the combined efforts of our agent and corporate donations raised a total of $489,000 in 2019. Looking back at the past three years, we raised a total of $1,086,000 for local and regional non-profits and organizations!
We spent the past year giving back, growing ourselves, helping others and having a lot of fun in the process. Thank you to everyone who was a part of our journey in 2019, and we can’t wait to see what the next year has in store.
