Through fundraising efforts and corporate contributions, Symmetry Financial Group raised over $250K for charities across the country in 2017. This amount supported organizations such as Manna Food Bank, Bounty and Soul, Asheville Arts Council, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Brother Wolf Animal Shelter.
One of Symmetry Financial Group’s largest events, the Symmetry Challenge, raised $119,000. This event was a 5K or 10K walk/race through the mountains of Western North Carolina. To take part in the Symmetry Challenge, participants had to raise a minimum of $1,000.
In addition, Symmetry Financial Group staff members took part in The Trailblaze Challenge in May 2017, raising over $28,000 for Make-A-Wish. Make-A-Wish provided training sessions to help participants prepare for a one day, 28.3-mile hike. As a whole, The Trailblaze Challenge made over 300 wishes come true for children battling life-threatening illnesses.
Symmetry Financial Group takes pride in helping families and organizations through charitable contributions.
“We are in the business of helping people. It is a part of our core values and we strive to have this reflected in all that we do. Whether it is by providing access to the best possible life insurance solutions or helping someone prepare for the future, we protect our clients’ journeys,” said Joe Dendy, Chief Marketing Officer. “We also feel our efforts should extend beyond our clients and into our communities. By supporting charities through corporate donations and fundraising efforts, we are able to do so. This is who we are and what we believe.”
“In 2018, we hope to exceed our efforts from last year,” Dendy said. “In addition to this, we are introducing service days where our corporate staff will have the opportunity to volunteer as a team at local charities.”
